Now sporting an updated cosmetic, the Ki 5X has all the same playing attributes as the previous version. It has the Ki 5's excellent comfort, control, spin etc. - but offers a tad more pop and some extra heft. We found the extra length most noticeable on serve finding some added pace and spin. At net the Ki 5X offers a crisp response with plenty of feel and control on touch volleys. ProKennex claims that the Ionic AKS technology adds a 56% efficiency boost to its acclaimed Kinetic Technology and we have found the Ki 5X to be very comfortable during playtesting. A solid all around racquet that offers some nice pop from the back court, the Ki 5X is a welcome update to the Pro 7G. We found this one best suited to 4.0 to 5.5 level players.
